Designed by Leon Howard, the Live Oak golf course opened in 1965 and features a par 3, hole #3, commonly referred to as Jaws. The hole plays 204 yards from the gold tees over a deep ravine that gobbles up any shot that falls short of the green.
For those families or beginners visiting the course, Live Oak recently established a Family Course with tees place forward of the “red” tees, making an easier and friendlier day on the links for kids and beginners, alike. For older beginners, 18 Blue Diamonds have been placed along the course for an extra challenge.

Featuring all the hallmarks of a great Texas course, Yaupon was designed by Leon Howard and proves to be a challenge for players of any level, claiming one of the most difficult starting holes in the Hill Country. With lush fairways and roughs that are just hard enough, this scenic course features elegantly manicured fairways, Tifwarf Bermuda greens and plenty of tall, native trees, which combine to frame some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Austin Hill Country.
