In the spirit of Christmas and giving to those in need, we will be hosting a property wide Holiday Lights of Love evening on December 15th. Luminary bags with tea lights will be given out at Santa’s Cookie Shop this weekend, or you can pick up your bag and tea light from the Welcome Center at your convenience. On the evening of December 15th at 7pm, everyone will light their bags and place outside at the end of their driveway, or wherever it can be seen best. If you have a light on, we will know you have a donation item(s) to benefit the Austin Children’s Shelter. We will come by to collect your items which will then be delivered to the Children’s Shelter on Sunday the 16th. Gifts do not need to be wrapped, and gift cards or new toys are welcomed.

Here are some suggestions for donations:

If you make an online donation and DO NOT have something for us to pick up to deliver, you can still light your luminary bag but please email to let us know to not stop at your house! Thank you all in advance for your contribution to this amazing organization in Austin!

As the holidays draw near, we are reminded of some of our favorite holiday events happening around Austin.  We've listed a few of our favorites below, but please feel free to share with us some of yours in the comments below.

Happy Holidays to our Friends & Family at Rough Hollow!

Luminations at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
:  Head to the beautiful Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center to enjoy gardens lighted with thousands of luminaries and twinkle lights and to listen to music of the season. Admission is free with two canned food items for the Capital Area Food Bank. In addition to the beautiful holiday lighting, they will have hot chocolate and yummy food and drinks for sale, plus children’s activities and numerous music acts throughout both evenings from local performers and area schools. For a lineup of entertainment, please visit: http://www.wildflower.org/luminations.

Holiday Sip N' Shop:  Residents & members of Rough Hollow are invited to enjoy a fabulous lunch menu and wine pairings from the Grille and get some holiday shopping done too! We will have jewelry lines, clothing and a local boutique displaying items for sale. Please RSVP to liza@roughhollowlakeway.com by Monday, December 10th so our vendors are prepared!
